The EsySuit and Gripper retractors have reduced the number of instruments, time, cost, and personnel needed to successfully perform DAA hips.  The Grippers allow reproducible placement of the retractors to facilitate an efficient procedure and reduce workload on the surgeon.  The combination of the EsySuit and the Gripper devices are ideal instruments to help surgeons transition DAA hips to the surgery center setting.  I have tried multiple other retractors and self-retaining systems but these are the easiest and most reliable to work with.  I use them on every DAA hip.
