Dr. Richard Steinfeld, MD, MBA, is an experienced hip, knee and shoulder orthopaedic surgeon at the Orthopaedic Center of Vero Beach, Florida.
He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison receiving a degree in Psychology. He was awarded his Medical Degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – The New Jersey Medical School in 1992. Dr. Steinfeld continued his education at the University of Tennessee-Physician Executive MBA Program and was awarded his Master’s Degree in Business Administration in 2010. Dr. Steinfeld completed his internship in General Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He spent three years as Flight Surgeon and Head of Aviation Medicine at Naval Air Station Key West. Dr. Steinfeld returned to the Mayo Clinic and completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery. He was then chosen to undertake a Clinical Fellowship in Knee Surgery with John Bartlett, MD, in Melbourne, Australia finishing in June 2001. Academic Honors include the Mark B. Coventry Clinical Research Award and numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals.
