The Gripper™ System

– Less holding, more surgery

Gripper

24/7 available

The Gripper™ device is 24/7 available and never tired. In case of limited availability of staff, the procedure (scheduled or trauma) will not have to be postponed.

Talent deployment

Instead of holding retractors for hours, scrubs can now work on more valuable medical tasks and urgent operations. This leads to parallel processing, efficiency gains, less fatigue and focus on patient care.

Open space

By reducing the number of people at the table, the Gripper™ system creates open space in the sterile field for the surgeon and robotics. Less hands at the table may also contribute to infection prevention.

Optimal visibility

The Gripper™ system provides the surgeon with a perfect view on the surgical field and the anatomical landmarks. It facilitates both the operation and teaching in the OR.

Back in control

With the Gripper system, surgeons place retractors themselves, with exactly the force, direction and stability they want. It reduces the potential cutting effect on bone and soft tissues.

Stress reduction

By taking care of the retractors, the Gripper system reportedly contributes to a positive working environment, that allows for simpler communication, improved ergonomic circumstances, better teaching and rewarding tasks.

The Gripper™ System

Human capital is the most important resource in the OR so it is extremely important that people can function optimally.

The Gripper™ System allows a stable retractor positioning so that nursing staff can now be deployed much more effectively.  The system can be used on a Regular table, Traction table and Beach chair table (upcoming).

By using the Gripper™ System, surgeons are back in charge of their instruments. They determine the positioning, the force with which the retractors are placed and how long they stay in place. This allows the surgeon to be 100% focused on the job while the scrub is always one step ahead because he/she doesn’t have to hold instruments.

A well-managed OR results not only in a high surgical turnover, but may also support you in achieving reduced postoperative complications, improved patient-centered outcomes and greater patient satisfaction.
